We have recently started a collaboration with Parlia — an encyclopaedia of opinions about all the significant questions out there. Parlia is mapping the important debates about relevant abstract questions, historical and political events as well as culture and current affairs.
Parlia believes that there is a finite and limited number of opinions about anything. This is why they are craving to build a reference library of all significant debates and opinions out there.
For now, Parlia is a working prototype supported by a grant from Google’s Digital News Initiative (DNI). This prototype site aims to provide value to the visitors and expert depth for more interested users.
The opinions map is structured in Questions (the relevant topics), Positions (a broader group of responses to a question) and Arguments (a set of reasons that support a specific position). The proponents are all the individuals or groups that have taken a position or supported an argument.
Marzee Labs team is working side by side with Parlia’s team to improve and evolve the prototype site. The technology behind it is GO and our designers, developers and manager are responsible to evolve the user experience and interaction with the Parlia platform as well as delivering new features.
We are very happy to be part of this journey and we invite you to take a look at their site and subscribe — https://parlia.com/
