As a web development company, we believe it is important to carefully look back to the year 2020 and we decided to share our main results. For that, we decided to create an Infographic to tell Marzee Labs story in 2020.

The year 2020 became an unforgettable year. We all had our personal and professional lives impacted, and had to adapt to a new lifestyle. During the year, digital tools were the one thing keeping some sort of connection between people and businesses. Stream services, social media, online shopping and full online experiences became even more part of our lives.

Businesses all over the world had to rapidly adapt to this new way of interacting with customers. Having a web presence became mandatory and many services were completely transformed into an online experience.

Why share our Business Results?

We always take the time to recap the year looking over our business results, highlighting all the amazing things we did, all the good people we met. All of this in an effort to understand what we did well, what needs to be improved and to draw a path for the new year ahead of us.

2020 was a hell of a difficult year. We were all surprised during the first quarter of the year, we did not know what to expect. Some of our projects were postponed. As a small company, it was important for us to re-evaluate our costs, understand the opportunities around us and set a plan for the year.

We felt it was important to share our results with our clients and partners, as well as with other agencies and web development companies. Moreover, we are always open to sharing experiences with the web-dev community and learning from others. We hope this can inspire other companies to do the same.

What and How are we sharing the results?

We are sharing our main business results, the leads, the new clients we started working with, the number of projects we were involved in, the technologies we used and the different type of services we delivered and the benefits of this to our clients and partners.

To share all this in a way that was easy for people to see, we decided to create an infographic to tell Marzee Labs story in 2020.

We were thrilled to have started a collaboration with 8 new partners throughout the year and maintain our collaboration with other 8 existing partners. This enabled our team to work on 19 different projects, 10 entirely new projects started from scratched.

It was also so important to contribute to four different teams with product and technology strategy by helping them with product scope and guiding them with the best tech stack to move forward to implementation.

Both the trust of our partners and the effort of our team were crucial to achieving the 50% increase in revenue and hiring 2 new teammates.

Our international and distributed team made it possible for us to continue working with clients all over the world. We worked with partners in 8 different countries on 3 different continents.

In terms of technology, we worked with 12 different technologies throughout the 19 projects. Netlify was our main choice of CDN and AWS was the main cloud-service used for the serverless implementations we developed. ReactJS continues to play an important role, also if we consider the Static Site Generators (SSG) based on ReactJS that we have used, such as GatsbyJS and NextJS.

Finally, even though we delivered 6 projects using the Jamstack approach, traditional Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Drupal and WordPress, continue to be part of our services.

What else should you know about us?

In addition to what we have already presented in our Infographic, we also want to share the work our amazing team delivered to our local community by joining forces with Impulso and delivering a web platform for local small businesses to share their offerings during lock-down.
